Rankids Legal and Educational Notice
1. Nature of Rankids
Rankids is a family organization tool that allows an adult to create profiles, assign tasks, award points, and define non-monetary rewards within the household.
Rankids provides digital infrastructure to organize these decisions. It does not assume parental authority, guardianship, custody, education, or supervision of any minor, and it does not replace the judgment of the responsible adult.
2. No professional advice
The information and features of Rankids are general and organizational in nature. They do not constitute or replace advice in any of the following areas:
- Medical or healthcare.
- Psychological or mental health.
- Professional pedagogical or psychopedagogical.
- Legal.
- Financial, tax, or employment.
- Child protection or social intervention.
If you have questions about child development, behavior, health, educational needs, safety, or family wellbeing, consult a qualified professional or the competent authority.
3. Adult responsibility
The adult who manages the family is responsible for:
- Having sufficient authority or authorization to create child profiles.
- Entering only appropriate, relevant, and necessary data.
- Keeping the credentials and adult-area PIN secure.
- Deciding which tasks, points, and rewards are appropriate.
- Adapting tasks to the child's age, maturity, health, and circumstances.
- Supervising the use of the app and any shared device.
- Avoiding dangerous, abusive, discriminatory, coercive, or humiliating practices.
- Complying with applicable laws and respecting the rights of the minor.
Rankids does not pre-review all tasks, rewards, or text created by families. The availability of a feature does not mean that every use of it is appropriate.
4. Protection and wellbeing of minors
Rankids must be used in a manner compatible with the best interests of the minor. It must not be used to:
- Impose dangerous or unlawful tasks.
- Condition basic needs, care, food, rest, education, or healthcare.
- Humiliate, threaten, punish in a degrading manner, or exert undue pressure.
- Publish or share sensitive or excessive information about minors.
- Facilitate contact with strangers or unsupervised activities.
- Replace intervention by professionals or emergency services.
The adult must stop using any points or rewards dynamic that causes harm, anxiety, serious conflict, or an inappropriate effect for the minor.
5. Points have no monetary value
Rankids points are internal units of family organization. They are not:
- Money, virtual currency, cryptoasset, or financial instrument.
- Salary, employment compensation, credit, deposit, or debt enforceable against Rankids.
- A transferable good or redeemable outside the family.
- A reward provided or guaranteed by Rankids.
Rewards are private agreements defined by each family. Rankids does not intervene in their delivery, quality, legality, or fulfillment. The adult must avoid rewards that are illegal, dangerous, age-inappropriate, or contrary to Apple App Store or Google Play rules.
6. No guarantee of results
Rankids may help organize habits and responsibilities, but does not guarantee:
- Better behavior.
- Higher motivation.
- Task completion.
- Better family relationships.
- Specific educational outcomes.
7. Not an emergency or monitoring tool
Rankids is not designed to:
- Contact emergency services.
- Locate or track people.
- Monitor the physical safety of a minor in real time.
- Detect abuse, illness, or danger.
- Send urgent communications or guarantee their receipt.
- Replace operating-system parental controls.
In an emergency or risk to a minor, immediately contact emergency services, the authorities, or competent professionals in your country.
