Rankids Account and Data Deletion
1. Purpose
This page explains how to request deletion of your Rankids account and associated family data. It also explains how to delete only a child profile without deleting the entire family account.
2. How to request deletion
The adult owner or administrator of the family may request deletion through any of these methods:
2.1 From the app
1. Open Rankids and sign in. 2. Go to Settings > Account > Privacy and account > Delete account and data. 3. Read the information shown and confirm the request. 4. Complete any identity verification requested.
2.2 By email
Write to account@rankids.app from the email address associated with the account and include the subject: "Rankids account deletion".
Include only the information needed to locate the account. Do not send passwords, PINs, or identity documents unless Rankids requests them with justification and through an appropriate channel.
3. What is deleted
When deletion is completed, Rankids will delete or anonymize, as applicable:
- Rankids account.
- Family account.
- Adult profiles.
- Child profiles.
- Child profile name/nickname and age.
- Avatars and settings.
- Tasks, rewards, points, and history.
- Redemptions and point adjustments.
- Support messages associated with the family, except where limited retention is needed.
- Internal events associated with the account where they can be linked to the family.
4. Data that may be retained temporarily
Rankids may keep limited information if necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Resolve claims.
- Prevent fraud or abuse.
- Maintain security.
- Handle pending support.
- Comply with store or payment requirements.
5. How to delete only a child profile
The adult administrator may delete a child profile without deleting the entire family account from:
Settings > Account > Family > Select the trash icon for the desired profile
When a child profile is deleted, the data associated with that profile will be deleted or anonymized, including its tasks, points, rewards, redemption requests, and history, except for limited data that must be retained due to a legal obligation or duly justified security reasons.
Deleting a child profile does not automatically cancel a subscription or delete the remaining profiles in the family.
6. Subscriptions
Deleting the Rankids account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google. To avoid future charges, you must cancel it from the corresponding store:
- Apple: device Settings or App Store > account > Subscriptions.
- Google Play: Google Play > profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Subscription cancellation by itself does not delete the Rankids account or data. These are separate actions.
Where applicable, Rankids will invalidate or unlink the internal purchase identifiers associated with the deleted account. Apple and Google may retain their own transaction records according to their policies and legal obligations.
7. Processing period
Rankids will process requests within a reasonable period after identity verification.
8. Effects of deletion
Deletion may be irreversible. After deletion, you may not be able to recover profiles, tasks, rewards, points, or history.
